The Section coordinates the activities with food industries as the most interesting reference.
Collaboration among producers, their associations and local national and international Research Institutes allows to study the innovations of product, process, and socio-economic trends connected to primary production, transformation and marketing of food products.

General topics of major interest are connected with the study of safety and the emerging aspects of food quality. Specific topics are activated on proposals and requests resulting from the collaboration with researchers  and actors of the supply chains.
